Sue is a born-and-bred farm girl from Trenton, Ontario. Influenced by the nearby Air Force Base, Sue joined the Canadian Armed Forces at 21, serving eleven years, though not as the pilot she dreamed of becoming. It was then time for a new adventure.

She enjoyed small entrepreneurial successes, while being gainfully employed elsewhere. While reviewing new products as a Customer Service representative, she had a revelation: copper plant tags could be made into dragonflies.

Sue refined her design, bringing completed pieces to work intending to forward her ideas to the social media department. Customers might like to make their own dragonflies using scissors and copper tags purchased from the company.  Instead, Sue was surprised to find customers for her creations among her co-workers.

Her creations meet all her wishes: artistry, uniqueness, weight, durability, infinite shelf life and “green” construction. Copper dragonflies gave her wings to fly solo!

“I take pride in making every dragonfly, knowing it’s my imagination, design, technique and crafting ability that bring each one to life. I love to see the smiles on the faces of people…knowing my creativity produces happiness, however fleeting.”
